Year 11 students at Newquay Tretherras took part in a series of mock interviews with 18 businesses based in Cornwall.
The interviews gave students the opportunity to experience as realistic an interview as possible, enabling them to learn from their mistakes.
The businesses that took part included, the Army and Navy, Celtic&Co, ETS (Education Training Skills), Kier Construction, PALL, Parkdean, Pentreath Ltd, Rick Steins, Happy Days, Newquay Airport, Pelynvet Vets, Pets at Home, Tesco, Kernow Karts, CUC (Combined Universities in Cornwall), Exeter University, Pendennis Shipyard Ltd, Cornwall Council, plus two Directors of the Newquay Education Trust.
All students had a 15 minute interview followed up with a 5 minutes feedback session and a clinic on their CV.

We firmly believe that it will be an invaluable experience for all our students and will help to prepare them for the world of work.’
