Geography is concerned with the study of places, the human and physical processes that shape them and the people who live in them. It helps students to make sense of their surrounding as and the wider world.
The Power of Geography:
Geography provokes and answers questions about natural and human worlds. It develops knowledge of places and environments around the world, an understanding of maps, and a range of investigative and problem solving skills both inside and outside the classroom. As such it prepares students for adult life and employment. It can inspire them to think about their own place in the world, their values, and their rights and responsibilities to other people and the environment.
