Our KS 3 programme of study is continually under review so that we can reflect the changing interests and developments in the world around us. We investigate the ‘Big Topics’ by investigating and answering a series of smaller questions.
Examples of our ‘Big Topics’ are:
What makes us British?
Why did we need to have slaves?
What is a ‘revolution’?
Were the Americans right using the atomic bomb?
Who’s more important, the Queen or the Prime Minister?
Students visit Launceston
Key skills are built up across this key stage so that students can confidently build arguments, use evidence and describe to others things that have changed over time and why. Oral, written, visual and multimedia methods are used to both present and explain ideas, events and people in a challenging and exciting fashion.
