On Monday 17th November, the languages department at Newquay Tretherras took sixteen Year 10 students to Truro to watch the French film, ‘Les Enfants de Timpelbach’, as part of the Into Film festival.
The festival is a free and annual celebration of film and education for schools and young people across the UK.
Languages teacher, Mrs Sara Jeffery, said. “We hope this experience allows students to improve their listening and comprehension skills in preparation for GCSE, as well as giving them a cultural experience.”
Jess Rowland, one of the students involved said, “I think that listening to some native speakers will really help improve our own French accents when speaking the language.”
