DT Students Support Cancer Charity

Year 10 textile students at Newquay Tretherras students have been getting creative for charity by creating ‘Bosom Bags’ for sufferers of breast cancer.

The bags are used to assist in the rehabilitation of cancer patients after surgical procedures by carrying attached medical apparatus.

The colourful creations were made in aid of the Bosom Pals, a support group for breast cancer sufferers who have also recently shot a 2015 calendar in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Ms Ollerenshaw, DT teacher at Newquay Tretherras said, “It has been a lovely opportunity for the students to be a part of something so charitable and rewarding, as well as having the chance to design and create an item to a professional standard.”
